Plain Terms is a small British business with one job: turning new law into a page you can act on.
We started in 2026, the year three big changes landed on small businesses at once: Making Tax Digital for sole traders and landlords, the Renters' Rights Act, and the Employment Rights Act. The official guidance is good but scattered across dozens of pages, and the templates for sale online were mostly written before the law changed.
So we read the legislation, the statutory instruments, the HMRC manuals and the ACAS guidance, and wrote packs that say what is law, what is only announced, what you must do and by when, with the documents to do it. Every pack carries a version number, a "law as at" date and its sources.
Why buy this when it is all on gov.uk?
Because it is all on gov.uk, spread across forty pages and written for lawyers. What is not on gov.uk is the understanding: the plain speak, the analogies, the worked examples, the "your options" pages and the "do this next" order. We read the legislation and the official guidance so you can read one thing, understand it, and know what to ask your adviser.
